PRIVACY POLICY
The Southern Regional Honors Council respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its website. To protect online privacy, the SRHC has implemented the following policy.
Use of Information
SRHC Member Services
Most data collected by the SRHC are used to help us better serve our members. We do not collect any personal information unless you voluntarily provide it by joining as a member, sending us e-mail, participating in a survey, completing an online form, etc. To gain access to members-only resources, members and other users are asked to provide some limited information. We use your information to provide you with personalized service, such as sending e-mail alerts, answering your requests, and processing membership applications and purchases.
The SRHC may also use your information to track email and website usage, and analyze aggregated data. This lets us see which of our features are most useful so we can better serve our users' needs. Members may choose to manage their email preferences at any time, which may result in ceasing all email communication with the SRHC aside from transaction processing.
The association management system used by the SRHC, Wix.com, has its own privacy policy statement that can be viewed here.
Disclosure to Third Parties
The SRHC makes member contact information accessible to other members through the members-only login portal. Contact information may be provided to committees or regional honors councils upon request. In addition, the SRHC provides limited data to third party sponsors of its Annual Conference to provide opportunities or benefits for our members and attendees. These limited data include names, email addresses, institution names, and job positions. Users may request the SRHC refrain from disclosing this data during the conference registration process; an opt-out box will appear on each conference registration form. The SRHC does not sell or rent email lists to anyone outside our organization.
Different jurisdictions have different legal obligations of what must be included in a Privacy Policy. You are responsible to make sure you are following the relevant legislation to your activities and location.
