SRHC STUDENT GRANT OPPORTUNITIES

SRHC Grants for Members

SRHC provides Student Grants to offset the cost of attending any NCHC Partners in the Parks program. We encourage honors administrators and staff to promote these awards and encourage qualified applicants to apply. All recipients of SRHC grants are encouraged to present the results of their projects or experiences at the following SRHC meeting. Strong preference is given to first-time applicants for this funding.

SRHC Grant Eligibility

  • Eligible Expenses: Scholarships are for registration fees or tuition only.

  • Registration: Students should not register for a program until their scholarship application has been approved by SRHC. Students will only be reimbursed for expenses only in instances where a receipt for payment is provided.

  • Maximum Scholarship Awards: SRHC offers up to $8,000 annually toward Partners in the Parks Scholarships.

  • Institutional Membership Requirement: Students applying for one of these scholarships must be from an institutional member of SRHC in the academic year (including the following summer) of the chosen experience.

  • Institutional Student Limit: Preference will be given to no more than one (1) student per institution. In instances where additional funding is available, up to two (2) students from a member institution may receive a scholarship.

  • Student Limit: A student may receive a scholarship for a particular experience only once. A student may receive only one Partners in the Parks scholarship from SRHC during their entire undergraduate experience.

  • Basis of Award: Scholarships are awarded competitively based on the quality of the application.

  • Deadlines: The Partners in the Parks scholarship application will be open from January through May of each academic year.

  • Submission: All application materials should be submitted to the SRHC website. Once approved, the student will be issued a promo code to cover the registration expenses.

  • Reflective Essay Requirement: The student receiving a scholarship for Partners in the Parks must submit a 500-word reflective essay and a photograph to the SRHC secretary within one month (30 days) of completing the experience. The essay will be posted at the SRHC website.
