Dr. Kate Bruce, Professor of Psychology and Director of the Honors Scholars Program at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, has received a Carnegie award as U.S. Professor of the Year for North Carolina. On behalf of the SRHC, I want to say congratulations to Kate - this is a most prestigious award.
John Zubizarreta, Professor of English and Director of Honors & Faculty Development at Columbia College, and President-Elect of the National Collegiate Honors Council, wrote about Kate's award: "As past president of NCHC, Kate makes all of us proud, and her selection reaffirms the outstanding teaching in our honors ranks. Bravo!"
